From The Kitchen at Remmington's Run!
We've been searching for a pizza dough that mimics the style of New York pizza... It's thin, it's soft and it's bendable!
Ingredients:
For the crust
3 Cups Multipurpose Gluten Free Flour (we use Cup4Cup)
1 overflowing tsp instant dry yeast
1 Tablespoon + 1 teaspoon sugar
3/4 Tablespoon Sea Salt
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup almond milk (or your choice)
1 large egg
Assembly
1 Cup Pizza Sauce
2 Cups shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1 Cup shredded Parmesan Cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat your oven to 410°F for a convection or 425 for a still oven.
In a mixing bowl combine all dry ingredients.
In a small bowl combine water, almond milk and egg. Whisk mixture until
combined and add to the dry ingredients.
Mix wet ingredients into the dry ingredients at first with fork and then with
your hands till well combined and able to form a ball of dough.
The consistency should not be too sticky. If you find it sticking to your hands
too much just add a touch more flour.
Take the ball of dough and tightly wrap in Press and Seal and put in the
fridge for at least 1 hour.
Once ready to begin making your Pizza take the dough out and cut in half
(the dough will make two pizzas).
Place crust on floured surface.
Using a rolling pin, shape the dough to the size of the pizza pan about 1/4”
thick.
Once crust is the size you desire, transfer to pizza pan.
Proof in a warm humid area of the kitchen for 30 minutes or until doubled in
size. (Cover with Plastic Wrap and a towel and place on the oven)
Spread the sauce then cover with cheese and your choice of toppings. Place
the pizza pan in the oven and bake for 16-18 minutes.
Enjoy!
